DIVE 2013 Scuba Show Hits UK This October

DIVE 2013 Show(DiverWire) The annual Birmingham DIVE show, one of the UK’s biggest scuba diving shows, is coming October 26th. With over 200 exhibitors, including companies like Scubapro, Oceanic, TUSA, Subgear, Light and Motion UK, and SEAC, DIVE 2013 promises to deliver all the latest in equipment, scuba education, and travel news. DIVE 2013 is being held once again by Diver Magazine.

The two-day show features a central stage with guest speakers from every facet of the dive industry. TDI/SDI Instructor Mark Powell returns to the show, this time talking about the dangerous scuba diving myths still being taught in scuba classes around the world. Martyn Farr, record-breaking cave-diver, author, and photographer is on hand to display his award-winning pictures and videos from his recent trips to New Zealand, Ireland, and Spain. Monty Halls, host of “Great Ocean Adventures,” “Scubazoo,” and the “Dive Mysteries” TV series is answering questions about the show and the exotic locales they’ve visited since the show’s inception.

The exhibition floor itself is awash with features, exhibits, and equipment demonstrations. The “New Products Showcase” gathers all the of the most current, bleeding-edge scuba dive equipment into one location. Divers will be able to see the newest gear before it hits the market, taking a small peak into a larger future. The “Rebreather Pool” allows adult divers to try out rebreathers in a closed, safe environment. The “Try-Dive Pool” lets kids take a shot at using regulators, BCs, and other scuba equipment with expert supervision.

There are dozens of seminars as well, one of which is the British Society of Underwater Photographers, which offers one-on-one advice from experts in the field.  Dive Magazine is also offering a prize giveaway – one DIVE 2013 ticket holder will win a 10-night dive safari in the Philippines, complete with travel and accommodations.

DIVE 2013 runs from 9.30-6.00 on Saturday the 26th of October and 9.30-5.00 on Sunday the 27th. Ticket prices start at just £8.50 for groups of six or more divers (a saving of £4 per person off the full price of £12.50). To book tickets to DIVE 2013 visit
