PADI Introduces new iPhone, Android App for Scuba Divers

(DiverWire) PADI  Dive Centers and Resorts have arrived on the popular app scene with the launch of the new PADI App for the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones. Going scuba diving has never been easier as the app helps users find their closest PADI Dive Center or Resort to fulfill all of their dive needs.

Find a dive center or resort easily with new iPhone and Android app.

The PADI App lets users search for PADI Dive Centers or Resorts worldwide by entering the city and state (if applicable) or postal code. There’s also a convenient “current location” feature where users can quickly find the closest PADI facility. Search results appear as pins on a map or a list of dive centers and resorts. When users click on one of the search results, the contact information and PADI membership level for the facility appears. Enhanced listings also show additional details, including business hours, courses offered, available equipment lines and more.

“Consumers use smartphones to quickly and conveniently find what they need,” says PADI Vice President of Marketing and Communications Kristin Valette. “According to Gartner research, the iPhone and Android models account for approximately 42 percent of global smartphone sales to end users. The PADI App connects this mobile market with PADI Dive Centers and Resorts – making it easy for them to go scuba diving anywhere in the world.”
