This years program features two historical Civil War Wrecks. The Hunley presented by Ralph Wilbanks and the Monitor, presented by Sue Smith. In addition there will be video programs on recent shipwreck discoveries in the Great Lakes as well as video and digital image programs from exotic dive locations around the world. There are informational seminars featuring topics such as cold water diving, wreck diving and understanding decompression theory. The exhibit area features local dive shops, equipment manufacturers, museums, artists, and you can also meet the speakers and purchase copies of their programs and books. Tickets for the event are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Buy 10 tickets and get a $2 discount per ticket. Purchase 15 and get a discount of $3 per ticket. The Ford Seahorses Scuba Diving Club, established in 1957 as a member of the Ford Employees Recreation Association (FERA), is one of the most active dive clubs in Michigan. The club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enjoyment and advancement of the sport of scuba diving. |

The Ford Seahorses Scuba Diving Club, in conjunction with the Detroit Historical Society’s Dossin Maritime Group and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, presents the 29th Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival on Saturday, February 27th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Washtenaw Community College’s Morris Lawrence Building, 4800 E. Huron River Drive, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
