“Our courses are going through a total face lift as we define competency in our training and use a common sense approach to training divers. We have eliminated certain skills in favor of skills that build the foundation to becoming a good diver. By focusing on core skills and moving towards a total bottom time requirement, we create a better learning environment,” says Scott Evans, Executive Director.
In addition to revising their Standards and Procedures, NASE Worldwide released its new Open Water Diver Course, including the video based eLearning platform, Student and Instructor manual, and the “how to” manual for dive professionals. “A training agency is judged by the quality of its materials, better materials equal higher member profit. Our goal is to offer the most modern materials with delivery across multiple platforms, and maintain highest profit margins for our members,” says Evans.
As part of their re-launching, NASE Worldwide will be exhibiting at the major consumer shows and offering seminars titled “Experience What NASE Can Do for Your Business.” The schedule includes: Our World Underwater Feb 18-20 Chicago, IL, Beneath the Sea MAR 25-27 Secaucus, NJ and the Dive and Travel Expo APR 8-10 Tacoma, WA.
“Our goal is to fundamentally change the way the world learns to use scuba,” says Evans.
