FLORIDA KEYS - A Wreck Trek Passport Program spotlighting the Florida Keys Shipwreck Trail now awaits scuba divers visiting the Florida Keys. Certified divers can explore the destination's most appealing feature -- a string of sunken vessels and artificial reefs -- and be awarded for logging back-to-back wreck dives or dives on subsequent visits through Jan. 1, 2012.

Tags: Florida Keys | Key Largo Scuba-Fun, the dive center located in the Wyland Whaling Wall building in Key Largo, has provided 10 students from Homestead with scuba diving lessons and PADI Open Water certifications. An underwater photo course at the National Geographic "Biobliz" last April sparked the 12 youths' interest in scuba diving. However, they and their families were not able to afford scuba certification. Thus local photographer Tom Dailey, who is also their teacher, approached Scuba-Fun, who immediately agreed to provide the lessons. The youths aged 16 to 19 learned to scuba dive from August 11 to 13, sponsored by the Scuba-Fun Dive Center, PADI Americas and Ocean Divers.

TheCyberDiver.com and TheTechDiver.com forums have been started to provide both recreational and technical divers with a place to meet and discuss diving online. Although both are focused on diving, each is set-up a little differently and each caters to a different type of diver though both use the same software foundation. We are not trying to replace any other dive community out there, but give an alternative place to come visit and share your diving experiences.
